  1. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • Unopened and Unused: The item must be in its original packaging, unopened, unused, and in the same condition as when you received it.
  • Time Frame: You must initiate the return within 14 days of receiving your order.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Perishable goods (such as food and beverages)
  • Items marked as final sale
  • Gift cards
  • Personal care items (such as soaps, shampoos, etc.) once opened

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email us at info@altingrocery.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  2. Return Authorization: Once your return request is approved, you will receive a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and instructions on how to return your item(s).
  3. Ship the Item: Carefully pack the item(s) in the original packaging. Clearly write the Return Authorization Number (RAN) on the outside of the package.
  4. Return Shipping: You are responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item(s) unless the return is due to our error (e.g., you received an incorrect or defective item). We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
  5. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to notify you whether your refund has been approved or rejected.

  • Approved Refunds: If your return is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 5-7 business days. Please note that the original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Partial Refunds: In certain situations, only partial refunds may be granted (e.g., if the item is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error).
  • Rejected Refunds: If your return is rejected, we will email you to notify you and return the item to you at your expense.
  1. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please contact us at info@altingrocery.com. We may require photos of the damaged or defective item, depending on the circumstances.

  1. Return of Perishable Items

Due to the nature of perishable goods, we are unable to accept returns for these items. If you receive a perishable item that is damaged or defective, please get in touch with us within 48 hours of delivery at info@altingrocery.com with your order number and photos of the item, and we will arrange for a replacement or a refund.

  1. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund within the expected time frame:

  1. Check your bank account or credit card statement again.
  2. Contact your credit card company or bank because processing delays may occur.
  3. If you’ve done all of this and still haven't received your refund, please contact us at info@altingrocery.com.
